I should probably write something smart here. It's currently pending, reach out and I could say something worth hearing.
Because helping clients solve problems is why we have a job to do.
Life's too short to setup stuff by hand.
Started as someone with both software and win-door-facade experience to provide simple support to clients. After years and multiple learning opportunities, I've gained a clearer understanding of client needs. With it, the knowledge on how our software and machinery work together to cover their needs.
Current tasks go from basic dxf manipulation, server and desktop software setup, scripting and data analysis, to CNC programming and integration with software solutions.
It was a very interesting experience in software development without yet being a developer. I started as a consultant for a specific need (win-door related). Then transitioned at the end to helping craft some T-SQL procedures. Great experience with even greater people.
Started as a design assistant, mainly focused on AutoCAD drafter tasks. Had the opportunity to automate many documentation tasks using VBA and published a few tools, some still in use. Then had the chance to help shape a set of project management tools to totalize BOM templates (internally called assemblies). Later collaborated with an internal software development group that took those BOM templates and used them as scaffoling for a more automated and streamlined quotation-production workflow. Later my main focus resided in working with Project Management teams in development of project specific BOM templates for special projects (Mainly facades for irregularly shaped buildings; some examples to be published in the blog).
